Armando Caligiuri was born in a small town in Ionic Calabria at the end of the 60s, and it was there that from a very young age he began to handle the first resistors, the first transistors and the thermoionic tube contained at that time in black-and-white TV and vintage radios.

In fact, his father, who in his spare time at that time was a repairman, often takes him with him to the laboratory, and to make him feel comfortable, he allows him to tinker with those objects that have something mysterious and fabulous in a child's mind.

I spent hours and hours listening to those strange devices that emitted voices and warm-toned music, timbre due to the fact that in that epoch we used mainly amplitude modulation (AM) in medium wave band, frequency modulation (FM) would have begun to appear in a timid way, with the first transmitter in VHF band, installed by RAI in San Nicola dell' alto country  only a few years later, coinciding with the installation of a big transmitting tower, which I saw perfectly from the windows of my house, and that attracted my attention and my child's curiosity.

I constantly asked my father how it was possible that the radio emitted voices and music,those questions remained so only for a short time, because my curiosity and thirst for knowledge was soon satisfied, but I wanted to know even more, I was not satisfied, so as soon as I acquired the first rudiments of reading I put my hand to the various texts of electrical engineering and electronics that my father owned, and I began to dismantle everything that happened to my hands that contained electronic components.

So at the age of seven years I already knew many things about this world that even now as an adult more than forty years old, it seems to me fascinating and full of stimuli.

After elementary school and middle school, consistent with the goals I have been pursuing since childhood, I enrolled in a high school in Crotone, where I was able to refine some concepts, despite the inherent limitations of the school itself. Afterwards many titles and certificates came from various training courses I attended or in which I carried out tutoring and teaching activities, even now with a view to continuous updating I attend various courses dedicated to new technologies that in the meantime become established in the electronic and IT field.

What I still want to emphasize is that basically my preparation is due to the ever-present desire for knowledge and to the assiduous self-training activity to which I have always been subjected, curiosity as the first thing, and the continuous search for information to satisfy it.
The arrival of the great internet network was in my case the opening of an entire informative and collaborative universe, a real revolution.

After an intense and laborious collaboration that lasted so many years with a company from Crotone that dealt with information technology and research in the biotechnological and environmental field, and in which I carried out consulting and IT assistance (agency technique for the province of Crotone) on behalf of a well-known multinational company in the branch (Olidata SPA), today I am finally a freelancer open to cooperation with anyone who wants to work in the field of moving electrons, that is, everything that is moved by an electric current, and that represents my whole life.
